5 Things to Know About Housing in Durham

Getting private accommodation is more convenient than living in East Campus residential housing. You can get closer to Fuqua.
Most rooms here come unfurnished, so you can either rent furniture or purchase things. If you purchase, one option is to order some online you can assemble yourself.
You can message your classmates before the term starts and get a roommate to share your rental expenses.
For Duke Kunshan University students, your rental rate may be higher because of your shorter lease length—but it’s always negotiable.

Why I Chose MMS

The structure of this program attracted me. The courses offered are comprehensive and I felt would equip me with the necessary skill sets to enter the labor market. More importantly, the program format that splits the year between the US and China was particularly interesting to me. By studying in two places, I hope to broaden my perspective, improve my skills, and become more adaptable. Living in the era of globalization, I truly believe that global experience is crucial.

Before MMS

I worked as an investment analyst in a Private Equity group in Thailand. Finance was not the only necessary skill in PE – I learned that management skills and communication would be equally important, so I pursued the MMS.

After MMS

Right now I don’t have a specific industry or position I want to go into. My plan after graduation is rather broad. I hope to be ready to enter the labor market and enjoy my career.
